ARLA Membership

Very pleased to announce we have passed our Level Three Award in Residential Lettings and Property Management and are now full members of ARLA - THE ASSOCIATION OF RESIDENTIAL LETTING AGENTS.

What our ARLA membership means to you

ARLA is a professional body which self-regulates letting agents to ensure members provide you with the highest levels of customer service. Membership means Connor Properties has to:

  • Abide by a robust Code of Practice
  • Protect your rent and any deposits via a Client Money Protection Bonding Scheme
  • Insure landlords and tenants against loss of rent due to business financial issues
  • Provide a free Complaints Procedure, which includes disciplinary measures
  • Insure landlords and tenants against loss through Professional Indemnity insurance

What do we expect from our tenants?

To be a tenant of ours we expect and are clear about behaviours:

  • We only want to have tenants that are responsible about paying their rent, consistently, on time and in cases where tenants are reliant solely on benefits, communication. Should there be an issue or delay at any point we expect to be contacted immediately and the problem discussed.
  • We only want to have tenants that treat our properties with respect. Although the property may not belong to you it is your home and should be looked after as such.
  • We only want to have tenants that are good neighbours and don’t cause trouble or antisocial behaviour and disturb other people. Should we get reports of noise or nuisance behaviour by tenants or their guests we treat this very seriously and if necessary will terminate a tenancy for this behaviour.
